Keeping Identity Theft Perpetrators Out Of Your Life
Before the United States Congress declared identity theft as a federal offense, perpetrators served short jail sentences for assuming their victim’s identities. In fact, in one case of identity theft before the enactment of the federal law, a perpetrator can withdraw hundreds o

    Getting Security Systems Installed
If you want to protect your home or business and are thinking of installing a security system, consider the many options and variations in security systems – from intruder (burglar) alarms to CCTV cameras, there are so many different security measures to choose from. It is reco
Chivalry is not yet dead. It is still quivering with anticipation somewhere, waiting to be engaged in service. However, it is being suppressed by each of the following:

    1. Equality of the sexes: May younger women no longer wish to have anything done on their behalf, no matter how simple. There is the misguided notion that every male who might wish to do something for a woman, because he admires her or just wishes to be courteous, has an ulterior motive. Women feel increasingly compromised or obliged by such actions and so there are fewer opportunities to be chivalrous.

    2. Distrust and Suspicion: Everyone comes under the spotlight as being guilty before being innocent these days. We no longer accept behaviour at face value, especially when it comes from the opposite sex. We tend to question attitude, motives and actions much more than we used to do which then demotivates men to do anything at all for fear of being negatively labelled or rejected.

    3. Lack of personal confidence and esteem: People who are low in esteem are not sure how to handle chivalrous acts. They feel embarrassed by compliments, they tend to focus on themselves and are also not sure how to react in the face of any chivalry. Many people lack self-love and so, when they are treated in very caring ways, they are apt to doubt the sincerity of the giver. Not used to giving themselves, and more likely to be self-conscious, low confidence people are likely to ignore chivalrous acts or to interpret them as suspicious.

    4. The age we live in: There is far less emphasis on 'gentlemanly' qualities these days. Young boys are brought up just to be themselves, no longer as 'gentlemen', a state which is now more familiar to older men and to which they used to aspire. The social protocol of behaving like a gentleman and being there for a lady has been lost. With it goes the kind of actions that demarcated gentlemen and made them much sought after.

I talk to fellow network marketers on a regular basis that think the concept of “cold calling” is some left-over business concept from the 80’s that just doesn’t work in today’s hyper-skeptical society. It’s interesting listening to these people give the reasons why they think
