Good works are the acts done by you under the leadership of Holy Spirit to help others and bring glory to God.

God has given everyone talents and abilities. You should develop them to the utmost and use them to serve him. Take them and use them to become rich. Why? The poor can not help the poor financially or materially because it takes money. Without money you can not fund projects, build schools, build hospitals, feed the hungry or many other things that are needed in this world. Your desire should be to make all the money you possibly can become as rich as you can and give it all away as God leads. That does not mean you have to go without. God’s abundance is never ending. As the pie is divided he makes the pie larger.

If you want to be rich go for it. Make sure you keep your priorities in order and do it for the glory of God. What has God laid on your heart to accomplish for him? Think big.
