I Advice - Authentic in Love - the Three Great Secrets of Authentic Living
A Personal Digital Assistant Puts the World in the Palm of Your Hand of achievement, in nature, there is no such thing.Every year we make the same resolutions: we are going to exercise more, eat better, and above all get organized. Maybe you are like the thousands upon thousands of people who, each year, go out and buy a thick personal organizer. You look forward to a new year of planning appointments and keeping track of friends and business contacts in your new notebook. How soon into the new year, however, is the notebook cast aside, its pages empty? Perhaps this time you should consider something less cumbersome with more usability, like a Personal Digital Assistant.A Personal Digital Assistant, or PDA, may resemble a communication device from an old science fiction series, but in reality it is fast becoming an important piece of hardware for businesspeople and anyone who wants to get organized. Depending upon the style of PDA, it is capable of doing many things. It is a calendar, an address book, a word processor, and a memory bank for all sorts of data. Some PDAs may be built into cell phones, or double as an MP3 and/or video player. Other styles allow users to access the Internet and send e-mail or instant messages. For the person who needs to transfer data on the fly, a P Centering – authenticity is the natural desire of the human spirit We have an innate calling for authenticity. It is natures way, the tree must become the tree. Anything that blocks this causes disease and disaster. It is called, the hunger of the soul, or the truth of living. We must occasionally shake the appetite for material needs and then celebrate what life is, rather than what it could be. You will hear many people say “you can do anything, you can be anything, and these people are right. But can you be and do anything and be happy? Here they are wrong. Motivators and inspired speakers celebrate the possibilities of doing, being and becoming but in doing so, condemn many people to a life they are not comfortable living. A scientists becomes a bank teller, a bank teller becomes a musician and lovers merge because they have romantic aspirations instead of realistic expectations. We must become authentic to find happiness. The business leader who has a passion for the profit but hates the conflict between their life and their work will end up sabotaging both. Life is work, work is life. A happy individual is doing the work they love, they love their work and therefore they come home happy. They are not blaming their work for th 175 Power Verbs and Phrases for Resumes, Cover Letters, and Interviews The Laws of Nature reveal a certain perspective on life, like a knowing or trust that, underneath what may seem to be a very serious situation, the worst is really not all that bad. This is the mark of an inspired individual, one who has found stillness and therefore an unshakable perspective on everyday life. The book relates everyday living with authenticity to the journey one takes to climb a mountain, or walk up and down a hill on one of Chris's journeys to the Himalaya. While you’re revamping your resume or cover letter or constructing your proof-by-example stories for interviews, you’ll find you need to watch your word choice. Why? Communication is powerful if the words we use to communicate are powerful. That’s not all it takes, but the right words make for a good beginning. So as you craft achievement statements or write paragraphs that sell your skills or draft interview responses to knock the employers’ socks off, consider these suggestions: Use verbs in active tense, not passive tense. Use verbs that convey power and action. Use verbs that claim the highest level of skill or achievement you can legitimately claim. Use verbs to accurately describe what you have done on the job. Use adjectives and adverbs sparingly, but when you use them, use them well. Use nouns that are as specific and as descriptive as possible. Use numbers whenever possible. Use the most impressive (and still honest) form of the number you use. Never lie! It IS NOT worth it. It WILL catch up with you. Proofread all your verbs and nouns for agreement, tense and appropriateness. Her There are three keys to Personal authenticity 1/ Balance – Understanding the great wisdom of emotional awareness 2/ Calm – The quiet contentment that comes from the wisdom of Nature. 3/ Centering – Knowing yourself, your vision and dreams. There is no greater end to life than to become authentic To our true nature. To do so we must truly understand the mysteries of life. In this nature is our teacher. Then we can apply those tools to our life. And in helping others Authenticity – Finding the Balance True Authenticity means a person has become more what they were meant to become. In living authentically we aspire to be complete. That means totally content, comfortable with who we are, inspired by a purpose larger than ourselves and connected to the source of vitality of life. At this point we can totally surrender and become what is called our true potential. Whatever this means, the ultimate experience is to be in total contentment within. Internally, to desire nothing, to want absolutely nothing, we are happy as we are, where we are. To desire nothing from the inside out, means to be totally content with yourself. When everybody else is running around stressing about life, you might be able to see, that there is nothing to change, the only thing that is challenged is the way you see the world. Behind the world of materiality, success, ambition, goal setting, desire and self improvement sits another world. Behind the curtain sits another world, where everything is perfect, where the laws of nature are perfectly functioning. Whether it be a world trade centre, a Tsunami, a bomb on a bus or HIV in our lives, we see an order, a perfect order, and from that we know, that everything is working to a perfect pattern, the universal laws of nature. This is real wisdom. It is not religion that tells us how to live with each other, it is a silent awareness that love, consciousness and a certain spirituality sits behind everything. We can see it, and therefore, from behind the curtain, separate for this short moment from materiality and our ego, we see the order in the chaos, the mind of creation, the laws before the laws, love. With this perspective there is nothing lacking; there is no desire, no movement. And then from this place we can step back out from behind the curtain and live and act with authenticity, all actions are taken with purity. Then whatever you touch, whatever you are doing or not doing -- even just existing -- is a peak experience. You are alive and that is enough. Then growth can occur in harmony with nature. There is a certain relaxed calm that descends over a person who has found their True Nature. The inner power, the heart, gives a radiance, a constant showering of love and inspiration seems to come from them. There is a silent power surrounding them. Like the mountains of Nepal. When a person has found authenticity, they have become content with themselves and their energy becomes infectious. Just as negativity can be infectious so the positive energy of an inspired person can become infectious. We know this as leadership and radiance. But it is not leadership of the mind or intellect, it is leadership of the human spirit. Inner Calm - The Laws of Nature There are many planes of existence and the material one is on the surface. On this plane we may choose to live out most of our life and so a great journey takes place here. However, there is no security in the world of materials. Human security cannot be achieved through bondage or materiality. Often we become trapped in the transient consciousness of the material realm, hoping that the formality and structure of such a realm can appease the fears and questions we all carry within. Security cannot be found like this. The material realm is the smallest drop in the great ocean of life. Absolutely nothing can keep an individual from exploring and discovering that great ocean? There are human laws, morals, ethics, ideals, ideologies, religions, beliefs, cultures and codes of rights and wrongs. These hold the fabric of our societies together and help us manage our relationships with the world, the material world outside of us. But those laws are not the truth. Those are human laws. Created by people, each one claiming they got it from “above” and for all we know, maybe that is true. But until those laws are universal, how can they come from “the one” above? They are holding fragments of the story, but their cultures and fears have made what they hold, true to the material realms they live in, but false to their origins. Nature is a good mirror to use. She doesn’t hold a fragment, and doesn’t care for your ideologies. Neither does she care whether there are morals and ethics to protect you from your fears. Nature wants to do as nature was designed. When anything contradicts the laws of nature, it dies. Sickness, disaster and loss come from a breakdown between the individual perception of “the best way to do something” and the universal laws of nature’s advice. You can argue with nature, but you can’t win. Your authenticity is transparent. You may say “I am a yoga teacher” but people see through you. You may say you are happy, but your disease reveals you. There is no escape from the laws of nature, they can be fooled for a while, but such things are aberrations. If living falsehood is more important than living authenticity, you will aspire to wealth, relationship, career, knowledge and more, without love. Such, is democracy, the western model of success. Benchmarking is the process of observation and validation of procedures and practices that the most successful companies employ. They set the standard for success. Who has the best customer service, inventory management, pricing systems, logistics, warehouse management or sales effectiveness process? Any business process can be benchmarked. Once we identify the winners, benchmarking is the means to figure out how the winner got to be the best. This provides insight to help determine what we have to do to reach those standards. Bench marking is a best practice. Best practice is not about opinions. You have a bunch of opinions on best practices, I have opinions on best practice and I have the confidence of my convictions. I am an old sales guy. I know that I am right. Why? Because it just feels right. That is not what Best Practice is about. Best Practice bench marking says -- I am going to go out and compare myself to businesses that are similar to mine and look at somebody that does better then I. I am going to take a look at what they do and if I find a Best Practice, I’ll bring it back and apply it. Most business proce Nature is a good mirror to use. Do you realise that if you read 3 entire books on one subject you've pretty much set yourself up as an expert? By doing this chances are that you will know more than 99% of the population, of course there will be some people out there who are extremely well educated on your subject (or niche) who have spent years studying it, you can't hope to compete with them but don't let those few stop you getting started. If you don't have the time or patience for that then there's always the internet to turn to for research. Spend several hours carefully and selectively reading up on your chosen niche, keeping bookmarks and taking notes and you'll be surprised at how much you'll know by the end of it. Remember that it is OK to use bits and pieces of other people's work as long as you don't copy large tracts of their work verbatim. You can always use a tool such as http://www.copyscape.com to check if your written work has likely infringed someone elses copywrite, if it has then just g Centering – authenticity is the natural desire of the human spirit We have an innate calling for authenticity. Life is work, work is life. A happy individual is doing the work they love, they love their work and therefore they come home happy. They are not blaming their work for their stress or their relationship. They are happy, in love with life, in love with their job, and this is a person a family or a lover wants to be around. Not because they work hard, but because they are authentic. They say in some teachings that if you become desireless, you'll know yourself. But the contrary is true; if you know yourself, you will become desireless. It is only the lack of self love that makes us want to change anything at all. When we feel incomplete, we think we don’t have enough, and this drives us to go about proving ourselves worthy. This is a result orientated life, we need to overcome this and begin to focus on the joy of the process, and allow the results to care for themselves. True authenticity can then become the path to true contentment. Finding true Authenticity does not necessarily mean that you are satisfied on the outside. It simply means that you are satisfied on the inside. True authenticity means that you, the inner you have extinguished all inner turmoil. But this does not mean that your external world is unproductive. No, it means that you are coming from a healthy productive mindset. You are not reacting, causing problems, stressing people, lying to yourself. Authenticity means that you are living with integrity, and aspiring to all the great material joys life has to offer. -- Summary - There are three keys to Personal authenticity – 1/ Balance – Understanding the great wisdom of emotional awareness These are the skills you learn on a trek in Nepal or high in Bhutan.
