Affiliate Programs - 3 Simple Steps to Get Started
The Internet has made is easier than ever for webmasters to earn money on the side with part-time effort. Sometimes all you have to do is help drive traffic to another site and other times you simply need to help other companies make sales from their site, almost acting as a sales representative for the company. You earn a fee for the traffic you provide or make a commission for the sale you help the company make. The way to make money that I am referring to is called an Affiliate Program. An Affiliate Program is an advertising program offering a monetary incentive for webmasters to drive traffic to the publisher’s website or to help them make sales. This eliminates the necessity for the publisher to find websites with related content to list their banners. It also increases the response rate by giving the "affiliate" websites a stake in the response rate.Thousands of companies are offering different types of Affiliate Programs, whether it is to simply drive traffic to their site or to help them make sales. Either way, the great part about becoming an affiliate is you can easily create a website that targets the publisher’s content and not have to w

The statistics on relationships are depressing: in California alone, the average marriage lasts just 5 years. Nationwide, 43% of marriages end within 15 years. Second and third marriages end in divorce 60-70% of the time. Clearly, how we handle our relationships is not working. And yet, 94% of young adults in one study said that having a good marriage is extremely important to them. So, what can you do?

We researched much of current the literature on relationships and have condensed the results into just a few key concepts. These principles seem to be the common denominators in happy, successful marriages. See how many you can identify in your relationship.

    1. It starts with you

To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, you are as happy as you make up your mind to be. Research has shown that happiness is a state of being, not of having or doing or achieving. Nor is happiness a destination. People often say, "I just want to be happy" or "I just want to have a happy marriage" as if that is a future goal or place in time. The pro
Delegating - Ten Questions to Assess Your Skills
Delegating....we all know we should do it, yet many of us find myriad reasons to avoid it. I even heard someone recently state that delegating is just a traditional management tool that doesn’t apply in his fast-paced world. He told me that he just wants everyone to roll up their sleeves and pitch in where they are needed....without prompting. Now that’s an interesting idea. Evidently he wants them to know exactly what to do without explanation, without a clear grasp of their level of authority or any confusion about roles. In other words, this manager wants a team of mind-readers! He probably gets frustrated and annoyed when conflicts arise due to lack of communication, and is mystified by the problems he’s created.I’ll grant you that the ability to delegate work is a management skill that has been dissected and taught for decades. It’s not old-fashioned, however, and it is still just as important to an organization’s success.Ask yourself a few introspective questions: Do I regularly hold on to tasks or assignments because it would take too long to train someone else? Do I worry that, if I delegate priority assignments,

    Banners You Can't Ignore
Some "experts" say they don’t exist. Apparently we have become so accustomed to seeing banners, we have learned to ignore them. We sub-consciously create little white blocks exactly 468x60 pixels in size that neatly fit over banners so that we no longer see them and NEVER click on them. Of course these same experts will then tell you what, of course, you SHOULD be using. Their product. Naturally some marketing techniques work better than others. But that doesn’t mean the less effective approaches should be ignored. A balanced advertising campaign will spread itself across a variety of mediums. But isn’t it true that click-thru rates (CTR) on banners have dropped over the years? This is difficult to ascertain and views on this are conflicting but, ultimately, CTR’s on banners are irrelvant and the measure of success should not be based on this misleading statistic. Let’s say you get a 2% CTR on your banner. In other words, 2 out of every 100 views results in 2 mouse clicks. Most would consider this to be a successful banner as most achieve considerably less than this. But how many of those "clickers" then take a genuine
ng, not of having or doing or achieving. Nor is happiness a destination. People often say, "I just want to be happy" or "I just want to have a happy marriage" as if that is a future goal or place in time. The problem is, they never get there. That's because the future is... in the future. And the only true destination is your final day on earth. And then it's too late. So make the decision to be happier starting today.

There's a relationship benefit as well. The happier you are with yourself and your life, the more attractive you are to your partner. Another way to look at this is: if you were someone else, would you marry you? Start today to work on being the kind of person you would want to know, to date, and to marry. If you're not that kind of person now, how can you expect your spouse to stay attracted or stay passionate?

    2. There's you, there's him/her, and then there's "we".

You don't have to give up your identity or be known solely as your spouse's partner.
